Our annual trade volumes are between 300,000 - 350,000 Tons.
Who we are
AST Enterprises Inc operates as a DMCC company. It was established in 1998 and has presence in East Africa, West Africa, Canada, Black Sea, South Asia, and the Far East. It is an origination company with operations in procurement, processing and distribution. The product portfolio consists of Coffee, Oil seeds, Edible Nuts, Pulses, Peas, Beans, and Animal Feed. AST Enterprises Inc presently trades in more than 15 products with a client base of over 200 companies. The company stands out compared to its peers due to its higher quality standards, which has enabled them to penetrate even the toughest markets and withstand ever increasing competition. Continuous upgrading of processes in origins is our hall mark and adopting latest IT systems has helped smoothen our supply chain.
Products - Oil Seeds
Sesame Seed
AST is a Leading Supplier of Natural and Sortex Quality Sesame Seed. We trade in an annual quantity in excess of excess 90,000 Tons. State of the art machinery is used for cleaning, processing and packing. Our major markets cover Far East, Middle East and EU.
Soya Beans
AST trades a volume in excess of 70,000 Tons annually with more than 90% of the product as NON-GMO. Origination is mainly East and West Africa. Main markets are South Asia and Far East.
Mustard and Rape Seeds
AST's Black Sea origination consists of yellow peas, mustard seeds and rape seeds. Volumes total 50,000 tons annually.  Main destinations served are South Asia and ASEAN countries.
Products - Edible Nuts
Raw Cashew Nuts and Cashew Kernels
AST is a well known supplier of Raw Cashew nuts with a long history of over 20 years in RCN trade. Vietnam and India are the main destination markets . Volume handled is more than 40,000 MT annually, out of Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast and Tanzania. We shall start kernel trade in 2020.
Ground Nut Kernel
AST serves the far east market for Ground nut kernels (peanuts). AST's customized packaging allows the kernels to sustain longer transit times and prevent broken or split seeds. Annually, AST supplies 5000 Tons and will progress to a larger volume in the near future.
Products - Pulses, Peas, and Beans
AST has a diversified portfolio of Pulses. AST has now become a household name in Pulses, which are originated from East Africa and Canada. Pulses are mainly sold to South Asian countries, such as India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri lanka. AST's Portfolio consists of Green Mung Beans, Pigeon Peas, Kabuli / Desi Chickpeas, Yellow Peas and Red and Green Lentils. AST's volume is in excess of 100,000 Tons.

AST trades in Coarse Wheat Bran, Oil Extractions, both cakes and DOC, Feed Grade Wheat and Yellow Maize with a Volume of 30,000 Tons. This vertical is being developed for larger volumes from 2020.

Products - Coffee
AST is working with origins farms in East Africa, Asia, South and Central America with a fully focused approach on sourcing, processing, quality and timely delivery of the coffees. AST identifies and selects the best coffees from various smallholder farms and introduces them to our customers.

Our Team strength is 115. We have staff from various nationalities, with each person having a unique set of skills. AST Enterprises Inc is led by a strong senior management team, in their respective fields. AST strives for excellence and longevity.
Management
AST Enterprises Inc, has a professional management structure, split into various verticals. The company's aim has always been on a smooth end to end customer experience, both on the supply and demand side. The management consists of a diverse set individuals, who possess vast knowledge in their respective fields and geographies. Their experience is of an international standard and to an extent , has redefined the traditional way of business. We are always striving for continuous growth and improvement.
Traders
AST's Traders have extensive knowledge of origins and destinations in their field and believe in executing contracts without the need for arbitrations and disputes. AST's traders are proactively engaged with the customers and strive to solve problems with customer satisfaction in mind. Trading Heads have an experience of over 10 years in the product they handle, thereby making them specialists in their field. Diversification by way of trying new commodities and new markets is practiced on an ongoing process.
Logistics
Logistics is a very critical part of the business. AST's Logistics team comprises off high calibre individuals who strive to create innovation. AST's Logistics team is centralized in Dubai and always working constantly to ensure customer satisfaction. The team regulates the supply chain between origins and destinations by ensuring timely execution of contracts and freight negotiations. Each member specializes in their respective geography.
Finance
AST has a strong finance team. The finance team has over 15 years experience and is ably assisted by 2 Chartered Accountants, 1 Treasury / Banking lead and other team members. AST's finance team maintains information in a systematic and efficient manner. AST's finance team is well versed with a special emphasis on risk management and compliance.
